Enrollment in Coursera is free! Once you have enrolled you’ll have access to hundreds of free online courses. Free courses include professional skills, self-help and courses to expand your cultural horizons. Click on the Join for Free button in the upper-right corner of the homepage.
To get an overview of Coursera and learn about specific features, spend some time with the many free help articles at the site. Go to the bottom of the homepage, look under the third column, labeled More and click on Help. There is a search box, as well as icons for areas like payments and troubleshooting. In the upper right-hand corner, next to the login, is a link for Help Articles. Using these tools is the easiest way to get further information about the tips below.
Audit a course for free. Many paid courses offer an audit option that gives you access to lectures but not assignments or certificates. You are always free to upgrade to the paid version of the course.
Consider a specialization if you plan to take a lot of courses in one subject. Instead of paying for each course and certificate, you can subscribe to a specialization for as many months as you need and have access to every course in the specialization. As a bonus, every specialization ends with a hands-on project. When you’ve finished every course and completed your project, you will get a specialization certificate.
Need to learn something quickly? Look into guided projects. These are short, free or inexpensive courses about a single skill, like building a WordPress website or learning business law basics.
Retirees and others with lots of free time should consider Coursera Plus. Pay an annual subscription and have unlimited access to about 2/3 of Coursera’s thousands of courses.
If you can’t afford Coursera fees, apply for financial aid. Go to the Help Center using the directions above and click on Payments. The list on the next page includes financial aid information.

What Is Coursera’s Refund Policy?

Coursera will refund payments for individual courses if you cancel within two weeks of your payment, provided you haven’t earned a course certificate. Subscriptions can’t be refunded, but you can cancel the subscription so that it won’t be renewed. You can request refunds and cancel subscriptions at the My Purchases page on your account. If you want to cancel Coursera Plus, you must contact the Learner Help Center within fourteen days of your payment.

How Do You Contact Coursera?

There are no phone numbers or email addresses for Coursera, but you can contact them through the Learner Help Center on their website. Scroll down to the bottom of the homepage, go to the third column, which is labeled More and click on Help. There are many helpful articles at the Help Center, and live chat is available after you log in.
