How Can You Save with Bundled Shipping?

Because ThredUP has just one of each item, you only have an hour between putting it in your cart and checking out. ThredUP began in 2009 when co-founder James Reinhart looked at his closet and realized he had lots of clothes that he didn’t wear. He realized that those unused clothes had value. He also started thinking about the environmental impact of the apparel industry. ThredUP was founded both to save customers money, and to help the environment by recycling usable clothing. The company began by selling second-hand children’s clothing online, using the slogan, “Clothes don’t grow, kids do.” A few years later, in 2013, ThredUP started selling women’s clothing. There were more innovations to come, including Shop Her Closet in 2017. Shop Her Closet sells clothing worn by celebrities, with all proceeds going to charity. By 2021,ThredUP had processed 100 billion items, which allowed customers to save $3.3 billion off retail prices. Today, they are the largest online seller of second-hand clothes, with women’s clothing dominating their offerings.
